Today was another transit day. I spent about 6.5 hours on the bus from Conjiang to Xijiang, a large Miao village. The only eventful thing that happened was that a rock slide blocked the road for about 30 minutes, until a bulldozer cleared the way. I spent New Years Eve eating hot pot with a guy from Beijing and a student from Taiwan (we met on the bus), while watching variety shows on TV. Yawn... Oh, and happy new year...
